On average, mammography will detect about 80%-90% of breast cancers in women without symptoms.

just a few of us on race dayBabes for a Cure is a team created by a group of friends that participates in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure. Some of us have had previous experience with the race and Susan G. Komen Foundation, but have been a team since 2005. We started as a group of just 13 friends but since then have grown to over 50 participants. We have raised over $20,000 for breast cancer awareness and research. We have held successful fundraisers and have been featured in the Washington Post's Weekend Guide two years in a row. Babes for the Cure sets the bar higher and higher each year and will continue to grow and go above and beyond their goals. The team has created partnerships with several local businesses, with RJK Construction being it's prime sponsor.
